Across two unforgettable evenings and one lively afternoon, TUF will present three fantastic concerts featuring outstanding artists from New Zealand and around the world. The festival weekend builds to an epic finale with a giant community strum, an open mic packed with talent and fun, and a spectacular Showcase Concert starring our Headline artists  to close the festival in style.
Andrew & Jay Molina
Andrew Molina is a respected Hawaiian ukulele player and educator known for his smooth style and deep roots in traditional island music. Joined by bassist Jay Molina, the duo share the spirit of aloha through engaging performances that blend classic Hawaiian songs with contemporary flair. Together they bring authentic island sound, storytelling, and world-class musicianship to the TUF stage.

Entrenched in the world of folk they deliver a delicate but unbreakable blend of ukuleles and tightly entwined voices. Betty France and Cate Jardine will take you on a rollercoaster ride of silly words that pack a punch. Their penchant for the whimsical and offbeat will have you laughing and crying in the same set.  Sometimes in the same song.
David Chen

David Chen graduated from Music Technology master degree in York University in Uk. he is a leading figure in the ukulele world from Taiwan—an acclaimed performer, best-selling author, and educator across Greater China, Singapore, and Malaysia, also he has been touring to more than 20 countries to promote ukulele.

David started to play ukulele when he worked as a music therapist in 2009, then he found ukulele has the power of healing which is able to help kids to speak. Then he became a full ukulele teacher. Now David is the President of the International Taiwan Ukulele Association.

He has published seven instructional books, including the best-selling *24 Essential Ukulele Lessons*—the first comprehensive ukulele textbook for Chinese readers—and the highly acclaimed *Perfect Hawaiian Two-Finger Arrangements*.

He is also the planner of two ukulele festivals- Taiwan and Shanghai Ukulele Festivals. David has served as a guest ukulele instructor for companies such as Alibaba Group and Apple’s Shanghai headquarters.

He was also interviewed by *UK Ukulele Magazine* in 2022.
Kathryn Jones
Kathryn Jones (aka “Juicy Jones”) is a self-styled Award winning Australian singer/songwriter. Blending country roots, Gypsy soul, swing, blues, folk, and rockabilly, Kathryn crafts her stories through song with a warm, professional vocal,  punchy rhythms, tactful finger picking whilst her “joie de vivre” shines through in her natural flair onstage.
The Dirty Money Duo
Emma, originally from Cromwell, and Robbie, from Toronto, Canada, are now proud to call Te Anau home. By day, Emma is a dedicated primary school teacher and Robbie a skilled landscaper, but together their true passion lies in music.
Formed in 2020, The Dirty Money Duo has been delighting audiences across Central Otago at some of the region’s best bars, cafés, weddings, private celebrations, corporate events — and yes, even the occasional farewell service.
Led by Te Anau Ukulele Festival founder and all-round good sort Jackie Knowles, this crowd-favourite group always brings the fun wherever they play. Expect a lively mix of upbeat tunes, big smiles, cheeky banter, and plenty of feel-good energy that’ll have toes tapping and voices singing along from the very first song. A true TUF festival favourite not to be missed!
Sonia & Nigel
Sonia and Nigel Gavin are the captivating force behind Sonia & Nigel — a multicultural acoustic duo blending French, Kiwi and American influences into a rich and uplifting musical experience. Featuring Sonia’s soulful vocals and ukulele alongside Nigel’s masterful mandolin work, the pair weave together world music flavours, original songs, beautiful harmonies and stories inspired by their travels and life adventures. Since first performing together at the Whare Flat Folk Festival in 2014, they have become a much-loved act on the New Zealand folk and festival scene, enchanting audiences with warmth, humour, virtuoso musicianship and heartfelt connection.

Snapper
On Friday night, Betty and Cate are joined by their good friend Snapper.
Snapper was "born in the back seat of a half-submerged Vauxhall Viva and raised by possums in the Port Hills of Christchurch" 
​Snapper is well known for his gravelly, gruff, and deep baritone vocals. His voice provides a sharp, "rough" contrast to the smoother harmonies of his bandmates.
